2009 Spirit Group



Cedar Creek Spirit Group

Cedar Creek Spirit groups strive to promote pep, school spirit, and a feeling of loyalty to Cedar Creek.  Each group seeks to develop and maintain a spirit of fair play and sportsmanship during athletic seasons and at any other time called on for other school activities. 

In order to tryout for a spirit group, each girl must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled at Cedar Creek and must be pre-registered for the following school year:
  • Meet academic standards and maintain that average throughout the year of service (2.0 gpa and must pass 5 0f 7 classes).
  • Evaluated by the faculty.
  • Attend parent meeting with at least one parent to dicuss rules and regulations.
  • Have a phyical examination.

Emerald Entertainers 

Congratulations to our 2009-2010 Emerald Entertainers for their excellent performance at the University of Arkansas Little Rock National Dance Alliance Summer Camp.  The  EE’s won a Technical Excellence Award for their Home Routine that exemplifies the NDA standards in dance and performance technique, a NDA Spirit Stick, six All-American Nominee’s and two All-American Girl Winners. The All American Nominee’s were awarded to dancers who show strength in performance and leadership skills and the All-American Winners were awarded to the top dancers at camp. The EE’s also won the highest honor award the “NDA Team Award”.  The NDA Team Award is selected by the staff and awarded to the team that is the epitome of the all around superior team in areas of leadership, teamwork, performance and positive attitudes.

Varsity Cheerleaders

Varsity Cheerleaders are selected by a panel of impartial, qualified judges.  The group consists of girls in grades 10 - 12 with a maximum of 16 members on the squad.  This group cheers at all Varsity Football games and Varsity girls and boys basketball games, as well as all pep rallies.


JV Cheerleaders

A panel of impartial, qualified judges select the Junior Varsity Cheerleaders.  The group consists of girls in grades 9 - 11.  This group cheers at all Junior Varsity football games, home Varsity football games and Junior Varsity girls and boys basketball games, as well as all pep rallies.


Emerald Entertainers

The Emerald Entertainers are selected by a panel of impartial, qualified judges.  This danceline consists of girls in grades 9-12.  This squad performs at all Varsity football games and all home Varsity girls and boys basketball games, as well as all pep rallies.


Junior High Cheerleaders

Junior High Cheerleaders consists of girls in grades 7-8.  An impartial group of qualified judges select the squad.  JH Cheerleaders cheer at all JH football games and all home JH boys and girls basketball games, as well as all JH pep rallies.
