William Ardis Marbury, Jr. and Virginia Lomax Marbury
3rd Annual Lecture Series
Business Ethics and Acumen

Mr. & Mrs. John Emory, Mr. Jack Taylor, Mr. Danny Bell, Mr. & Mrs. Lue Charles Napper

Once again, Cedar Creek School had the privilege of hosting the Marbury Lecture Series for area high school students.  Mr. Jack Taylor, Executive Vice Chair-Operations of KPMG was the guest presenter for the event.

Mr. Taylor discussed the importance of developing a "moral compass" as a means to guide one's actions.  Included in his presentation were the issues of ethical choices, integrity, honesty, and responsibility that are faced in the workplace and that students are faced with in today's society.  "Many ethical dilemmas are not black and white," Taylor said, "and when people are close to a situation and see others bending the rules, it sometimes becomes easier to justify their actions.  Having a strong moral compass helps us navigate the gray areas we encounter every day."  After addressing questions that were written by Cedar Creek students, he closed with the phrase, "do the right thing, the right way."

Ribbion Cutting for the  Early Learning Center

The Early Learning Center is ready.  Early Childhood Education is the foundation of long-term academic success and we are delighted that Cedar Creek has an outstanding facility that fosters creativity and encourages learning. The Center  contain six state of the art classrooms that will be home to our Pre-K and Kindergarten students.

This is a very exciting time for Cedar Creek School as we "Build for the Future" of our current and future students. With all new growth and construction comes a greater need for your continued financial support. We are extremely grateful for the generosity of the Cedar Creek family and friends that have allowed us to move forward with the Early Learning Center and encourage you to continue your support by making a gift to The Creek Fund. Your generous gift can be dedicated to the Early Learning Center or the area of your preference. Whatever your choice, it is a gift that will provide great dividends for our children and our future.
