ABOUT CEDAR CREEK SCHOOL
Cedar Creek School is an independent, co-educational college preparatory school that was founded in 1970. Located in north Louisiana, the campus has a student body of 678 students in Pre-K through 12th grade. Students are drawn to Cedar Creek from rural communities, small towns, and mid-sized cities from seven parishes by the school’s reputation for academic excellence. Cedar Creek practices an open non-discriminatory admission policy.

ACCREDITATION
AND MEMBERSHIP
Cedar Creek School is accredited by the State of Louisiana and both the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS) and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). The school holds membership in SAIS, the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA), and Independent School Management (ISM).
CURRICULUM AND GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Cedar Creek School offers an expanded college preparatory curriculum. Career shadowing opportunities are available for juniors and seniors. Students are asked to complete a minimum of ten hours of community service each school year. Twenty-four and a half credits are required for graduation in the following subject areas:

GRADE AND RANK INFORMATION
All students take seven courses each year. Cumulative grade point averages are based on annual grades. The annual grade is computed by combining quarter grades with semester exams.
Cedar Creek School does not rank its students, rather a quartile is determined, based on all students and on all subjects. All subjects are college preparatory. Grade point average is weighted. Honors, Advanced Honors, and Advanced Placement courses receive additional weight.
