Boys State

Louisiana Boys State is a leadership development summer program that cultivates personal growth, civic involvement, and practical governance knowledge in its participants to help build stronger, more well-informed and influential leaders for our communities, our state, and our country. At this program, participants (termed “Citizens”) are tasked with creating a functional government on the City, Parish, and State level.

This year, Hayes Bridges, Landon Amidon, Lawson Lillo, Gray Worthey, John Abram Earle, and Adrian Lamkin represented Cedar Creek. Lawson Lillo was elected BESE (Board of Elementary and Secondary Education) member and the governor's campaign manager. He won best BESE member for the program and Best Citizen of his parish.
John Abram Earle Was elected Supreme Court Justice for the state and the Louisiana Boys State Secretary of State. He also won Best Citizen of his parish.
